It's an intangible; like bravery, but drunker.

I feel like I talk about this record a lot, and always in the context that I’m surprised with how well it holds up. And in a way, I stick to that, however I do think that a lot of it is because I gave it an unfair shake at first because I was bitter that it didn’t contain an electric re-record of “Drastic”, and that the only re-record from the EP was a totally inferior version of “100K” (it left a taste in my mouth like The Explosion’s version of “No Revolution” that appeared on Black Tape, which makes sense in hindsight that half that band joined The Loved Ones later). And probably also that everything since this has been a REAL disappointment.

Point is.

This record is still excellent, despite it’s shortcomings. There are tons of punk records I used to like but realize now were not that great, but this is one of the few that have gotten much better with age (funny to think it’s six years old now). Regardless, “Arsenic” is a fuckin’ jam.
