It's an intangible; like bravery, but drunker.

GPOY: End of A Year edish.
Truthfully, 2011 was a really good year for me. I finally saw a little mobility, job-wise, and in late September, found myself finally getting to a place where I’m happy with and challenged by the job that I do. My band released a really great EP in April, and recorded an even better one just before Christmas, not to mention playing dozens of amazing shows from January to December. I met some really amazing people and made some great friends. I went to Fest again and had an even better time than I did last year, which I didn’t think was possible. I got back into dating (kinda), and despite the inherent stresses, I feel more confident about the person I am than I probably (definitely) ever have. I put a lot of bad habits to bed, and found ways to recognize and start dealing with others. I think after a string of really shitty years, 2011 was much needed for me. As someone who gets restless and feels a need to stay busy, 2012 is shaping up to be the kind of year I’ll enjoy. We’re (fingers crossed) going on tour in March for the first time ever together, I’ll be going to Pouzza Fest in Montreal this May, by which time I’ll have embarked on the biggest move of all; the one where I start living by myself. I don’t know, I’m pretty excited for a new year for the first time in a while, which is pretty cool. For now, though, I’m just gonna enjoy this mug with Santa Claus’ face carved into it.
